Dibutyl phthalate (DBP) is a commonly used plasticizer. It is also used as an additive to adhesives or printing inks. It is soluble in various organic solvents, e.g. in alcohol, ether and benzene. DBP is also used as an ectoparasiticide. Product performance

Dibutyl Phthalate is colorless transparent oily liquid; insoluble in water, water-solubility and volatility are very low, but soluble in organic solvents such as alcohol, ether, acetone and benzene, miscible with most hydrocarbons.

DBP is dibutyl phthalate. It is the main plasticizer for cellulose resin and PVC, especially for cellulose nitrate coating. It has good solubility, dispersion and adhesion capacity. It can be used to dye for the dying of membrane, manmade leather and plastic product. It also can be used as softener of rubber, which could improve the products’ resilience.

Properties:colorless transparent liquid with sweet smelling,soluble in methanol, ethanol, ethyl ether etc most of the organic solvents.

Application 1 :

Dibutyl Phthalate is a plasticizer which has strong dissolving influence on a variety of resins. It is used for PVC processing and impart products good softness.It is also an excellent plasticizer to cellulose nitrate which has high gel ability and a good softening effect in cellulose nitrate coating. In addition, the product can also be used as plasticizers to polyvinyl acetate, alkyd resin, ethyl cellulose, as well as chloroprene rubber, used for the production of paints, adhesives, leather, printing inks, security glass, Cellophane, fuel, pesticides, deodorants, solvents, fabric lubricant, etc.

Applications2:

It is one kind of strong solvent plasticizer of resins; it can be used in PVS, nitro cellulose, rubber, PEC, ethyl cellulose. It can be used in paint, adhesives artificial leather, ink, safe glass, cellulose, dye, insecticide, solvent, lubricant and softener

Application3:

Mainly used for PVC treatment, can let products good softness, used to nitric acid fiber coating, have good solubility and dispersion, its adequate adhesiveness and waterproof. The flexibility of the paint film, resistance to flexure and good stability. Used in rubber, fiber, butyl acetate esters, ethyl cellulose acetate ethylene acetate, together with other synthetic tree as plasticizers. Also can be used in the manufacture of paint, standing agent, artificial leather, printing ink, safety glass, SaiLuBin, dye, pesticides, sweet agent solvent, fabric lubricant agent and rubber softener, etc.
